Introducing the additional programming on Friday afternoon:

Psychedelics in Society: Skillfully Navigating the Forward Path

We’re excited to announce a completely new addition to the Spirit Plant Medicine Conference. For the first time, we will offer events, speakers, and panels on Friday afternoon (Nov. 1), before our traditional opening ceremony and speakers beginning on Friday evening.

The title above is an expression of our increasing awareness that while there is a remarkable and rapidly developing psychedelic renaissance underway, it is by no means guaranteed that it will flourish and that these incredible medicines will find their rightful place in society for the benefit of the greatest number.

Multiple issues and concerns need to be addressed by knowledgeable experts – issues such as proper training, ethics, and economic models for psychedelics-focused therapy, guiding, and ceremonial work; navigating a sane and beneficial balance between established, conventional medical models and the less formal ceremonial, indigenous, often underground work; and not at all least, skillfully navigating the legal entry of these medicines into society for a wide-range of healing and awakening work.

We have put together a collection of those knowledgeable experts to address this central issue as many countries and jurisdictions move toward the recognition and honouring of these substances that have so much potential benefit, especially at this urgent and fraught moment in planetary affairs.
