Roots to Treasure – Integrating Deep Healing with Plant Spirits

Ang_GrandmaCedarRites of passage and soul initiation have been deeply interwoven with spirit plant healing for millennia, and the complete cycle of severance, descent, and return are essential to integrating transformation, settling the psyche, and translating wisdom from the healing circle into practical life. In this informative and experiential workshop we will blend neuroscience, shamanism, and shared experience to convey novel understandings of how entheogens work to facilitate deep, sustainable healing. We will also explore the roots of preparation, and the treasures of integration which can deepen and sustain our spiritual development and healing outside of the journey circle. Angela Prider worked for over a decade as a counselor in the areas of youth transition, in-patient addiction treatment, and out-patient harm reduction in the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver. Since 2007 she has been in private practise in Vancouver, British Columbia offering a unique synthesis of Shamanic Healing Arts, Spiritual Mentorship, and Self Regulation Therapy (SRT), a somatic modality that safely transmutes excess and unresolved energies following traumatic or overwhelming events. She has extensive practical and theoretical counselling training through Vancouver Community College, The Satir Institute of the Pacific, and the Canadian Foundation for Trauma Research and Education. Over the last 20 years she has immersed into initiation and tutelage with indigenous wisdom keepers and healers from the Americas, Northern Europe, Australia, and her ancestral lineages of Ireland. This weaving of global medicine and neuropsychological approaches allows Angela to share with those on the path of spiritual development through shamanic mentorship and apprenticeship, and support people integrating soul initiation and rites of passage.
