Join ceremony leader, author/editor (Cannabis and Spirituality), and conference organizer Stephen Gray for an all-day healing and awakening intensive using cannabis as the central sacrament. This ceremony will be both intense and gentle under Stephen’s experienced and nurturing guidance.
The day will begin with a carefully measured edible with inhalable top-ups offered later. Simple sitting meditation is the pure wellspring we will return to throughout the day as we add in a variety of other practices/activities at various points. These include movement, sound healing, shamanic drumming, OM chanting, and several more.
The program will run from 10 am to approximately 5 pm. Participants are asked to bring a tasty contribution to a potluck feast that will be part of the ceremony itself before we end with a sharing session.
Participants are expected to commit to two important things. First, for consuming an edible it’s necessary to have the stomach as close to empty as possible while still having enough energy for the day’s work. You can eat a good breakfast that should be finished by 8 am. Second, participants are expected to do a “cannabis fast” of at least 4 days prior and preferably longer.*
Some people dismiss the importance of cannabis fast. It’s just cannabis after all. However, extensive experience has shown that for this kind of deep work, clearing the system for a few days makes a big difference. Effects are significantly sharper, deeper, and with edibles come on much quicker.
* People who absolutely need to use cannabis daily for significant medical conditions are excused from that requirement. However, it is still helpful to limit usage as much as is feasible in the days leading up to the ceremony. Once you’ve registered you will be invited to call Stephen if you want to discuss any issues related to that requirement.
